The artwork "The desert rose", oil on canvas, is a glorification of fertility and life, covered with the scarf of life, inspired by the imperfection of the body.

 

Ferdi Bulut, artist from Prilep, Macedonia, graduated faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, Macedonia, Graphic department. 

 

Ferdi has been working as a cartoonist in a Turkish magazine in Macedonia "Yeni Balkan". He had taken place in several joined exhibitions in Macedonia, Turkey and France. Ferdi works as an art teacher and he is implementing NANSEN model of integrated education working with students from different ethnic background. 

 

He had been in a residence in Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris. Lately, Ferdi's work has been characterised by figurative art, especially the female figure as a symbol of fertility and life. The figures of the bodies are always shaped from the fabric without precisely defined portraits. Usually the fabric is cut in certain parts, but still the female figure is clearly visible.
